After spending about 40 minutes at Shiraito Falls and Otodome Falls in Shizuoka Prefecture, which were crowded with tourists, it was already lunchtime. We had a reservation at RESTAURANT ASADOR CarneSio at 1:00 p.m., but since we still had about 30 minutes of free time, we decided to stop by Roadside Station Asagiri Kogen for some soft serve ice cream.
The parking lot here is quite large. After parking in a spot close to the store exit, we immediately got out of the car to try the famous rich and delicious milk soft serve ice cream. On clear days, you can also see Mt. Fuji from here.

The Asagiri Kogen area is home to large ranches and many cows, so dairy products are well known. In summer, delicious ice cream is a must-try. There are many flavors available, including vanilla, matcha, strawberry, mandarin orange, roasted green tea, and raspberry.
At the counter, there was a large signboard listing all the flavors and prices. The milk soft serve, which we definitely wanted to try, was priced at 450 yen.
It turned out we had to buy two tickets for the milk soft serve from the vending machine across the way. After inserting coins and getting the tickets, we picked up two cones at the counter. The three of us enjoyed our ice cream right next to the entrance.
The milk soft serve had a very rich flavor, but since it was a hot summer day, it started melting quickly. After finishing, we got back in the car and headed for lunch. Stopping here for delicious milk soft serve was truly satisfying.
