Enjoying Sushi at Sushiro Kitakami in the Evening During Our Tohoku Cherry Blossom Trip

On the first evening of our 11-day cherry blossom trip to Japan’s Tohoku region, we had dinner at Sushiro Kitakami. In the afternoon, we visited Mizusawa Park to enjoy the cherry blossoms, and in the evening, we went to see the nighttime cherry blossom illuminations beside Sango Bridge at the far end of Kitakami Tenshochi.

Since we had not eaten dinner yet, we drove to the nearby Sushiro Kitakami and parked there. It had been quite a long time since we last enjoyed sushi in Japan!

It was already dark, but luckily the restaurant was still open. We got out of the car and headed straight inside for dinner. We immediately started ordering on the touchscreen tablet, choosing our usual favorites: salmon nigiri and tuna nigiri.
