After returning the car in Takamatsu City, enjoy a delicious Burger King burger for lunch

After spending three days and two nights in Matsuyama, Shikoku, we needed to return the rental car before noon, as the rental period was coming to an end. After having breakfast at Toyoko Inn Matsuyama Ichibancho, we drove back to Takamatsu, arriving around noon. After parking the car at Budget near Takamatsu Station, we took a commemorative photo to mark our self-driving trip. Then, we walked to Takamatsu Station and stopped by Burger King Takamatsu ORNE for lunch before taking the train to Nakano Udon School and Kotohira Shrine in the Kotohira area.

The dashboard of the Honda Freed showed that we had driven a total of 15 hours and 16 minutes over five days in Shikoku, covering approximately 658 kilometers. The car was easy to drive, and we returned it safely.

One difference from our previous car rental experience in Kyushu was that the parking brake was operated with the left foot. This design ensured that we never forgot to release the parking brake before starting the car. It was a unique first-time experience, and using the left foot for the parking brake felt quite convenient. Before leaving the Budget rental shop, we took some photos of the storefront and the exterior of the Honda Freed.

Next, we walked to Burger King on the second floor of Takamatsu ORNE for lunch. Since we had to catch a train to Kotohira right after lunch, it was the perfect stop.

The three of us ordered a King Meal small-size Cheeseburger set, as well as the Mixed and Grilled Burger set. The food was incredibly delicious.

While eating, we also took photos of the long queue of people waiting to order. We hadn’t expected such a crowd at lunchtime.

The Mixed and Grilled Burger set cost 600 yen (excluding tax), while the King Meal small-size Cheeseburger set was 850 yen (excluding tax).

Unfortunately, due to a typhoon approaching Japan, our flight was canceled and delayed for two days. While staying in Shikoku, we wanted to visit Burger King again, but it was closed—what a pity.
