After enjoying the panoramic view of Lake Toya and watching helicopters at Tsutsugura Observatory, we headed to Lake Hill Farm to experience Hokkaido’s vast open landscapes and admire the magnificent view of Mount Yotei in the distance.

After parking, we first went to see the sheep and little white rabbits on the farm. The weather was clear, the sheep were grazing, and the rabbits were hiding in their burrows.

In addition to the sheep, Lake Hill Farm also has a goat named YUKI, who even has her own little house. It seems the farm owner takes special care of her.

The farm also has a small pony. Later, we walked into the shop to try some ice cream. The farm is especially famous for its gelato, made from its own fresh milk.

Besides the many dairy products in the freezer, Lake Hill Farm offers double-scoop gelato with a wide variety of flavors listed on the menu above. The shop has a self-service ticket machine; after getting a ticket, we handed it to the counter and enjoyed the ice cream we wanted.

The fridge also contained freshly made milk puddings and cream puffs from the farm. We bought some and enjoyed the rich and delicious milk pudding and cream puffs inside the shop while gazing at Mount Yotei through the window.

The view of Mount Yotei from here is truly spectacular with a clear line of sight and no obstructions. At this time, we saw the goat YUKI coming out of her little house and interacting with visitors, which was quite amusing.
