Our 10-day self-driving trip in Shikoku was extended by 2 days before we could fly back to Taiwan. On a typhoon day in Takamatsu City, the wind and rain were very light. Besides strolling around the city, we had lunch around 1:00 PM at Matsuya Takamatsu Hyogomachi branch.
Every time we passed by this spot, we said we wanted to try it, and finally, we got to eat at Matsuya. We had previously visited the Matsuya on Matsuyama Okaido, and this time we came to the Hyogomachi branch in Takamatsu to have the grilled beef set meal.
In addition to the grilled beef set meal, my family also ordered a regular-sized beef bowl. Since the time between breakfast and lunch wasn’t very long, we couldn’t eat too much.
The miso soup at Matsuya Takamatsu Hyogomachi branch was also quite tasty.
The grilled beef set meal came with delicious white rice, which paired very well with the beef. The salad was good too — just shredded cabbage with corn — and the portion size was filling enough.
