As mentioned previously, for the past few years, we have almost always visited Miaobang Calla Lily Garden Restaurant a few days before Chinese New Year to enjoy our family reunion dinner in advance. This year, 2026, was no exception. Since we came during the daytime this time, it was much brighter, and the weather was also beautiful.
Sweet Potato Leaves and Deep-Fried Shiitake Mushrooms at Miaobang Calla Lily Garden Restaurant
After parking in the parking lot, we entered the restaurant and ordered our dishes right away. This time, we ordered sweet potato leaves and deep-fried shiitake mushrooms. Both dishes had a very nice texture and were quite delicious.
Bamboo Shoot and Winter Melon Chicken and Stir-Fried Eggs with Pearl Onions at Miaobang Calla Lily Garden Restaurant
We also ordered one of the restaurant’s signature dishes, stir-fried eggs with pearl onions. We didn’t expect it to be so delicious! It went perfectly with steamed rice, and we could easily eat several bowls.
Then we started cooking the bamboo shoot and winter melon chicken. It needs to come to a boil before it is ready to eat. We have ordered bamboo shoot and winter melon chicken almost every time we have visited. If it is not available, we usually order bitter melon and pineapple chicken instead.
Red Yeast Squid at Miaobang Calla Lily Garden Restaurant
We also ordered the red yeast squid, another dish that we almost always order here. It was also delicious with steamed rice.
Once the bamboo shoot and winter melon chicken was fully cooked, we were ready to start eating. If there isn’t enough soup, you can ask the restaurant staff to add more.
The Calla Lilies Are Already in Bloom at Miaobang Calla Lily Garden Restaurant in February
After finishing our meal, we took a little time to stretch our legs and walk around. On our previous visits, it was either raining or already nighttime, so this time we finally got to see the calla lilies covering the hills and valleys clearly in the daylight.
It was nice to take a walk and enjoy the fresh air. Hopefully, when we come here again next year, we can also visit during the daytime on another sunny day.
